Under Construction...

My blog is under construction at the present time. My wife is fixing it up for me but she is working on hers, too, so it may take awhile. Be patient and I'll be back as soon as possible.

Thanks for reading

Attitude.....

Why did the achievers overcome problems while thousands are overwhelmed by theirs? They refused to hold on to the common excuses for failure. They turned their stumbling blocks into stepping stones. They realized that they couldn’t determine every circumstance in life but they could determine their choice of attitude towards every circumstance. [John Maxwell]

I believe it is our attitude that determines our altitude. It is our attitude that allows us to soar above those things that would otherwise overcome us. [T.D. Jakes]

Words can never adequately convey the incredible impact of our attitude toward life. The longer I live the more convinced I become that life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we respond to it. I believe the single most significant decision I can make on a day-to-day basis is my choice of attitude. It is more important than my past, my education, my bankroll, my successes or failures, fame or pain, what other people think of me or say about me, my circumstances, or my position. Attitude keeps me going or cripples my progress. It alone fuels my fire or assaults my hope. When my attitudes are right, there s no barrier too high, no valley too deep, no dream too extreme, no challenge too great for me. [Charles R. Swindoll]

Our position in life is not as important as our disposition , by changing our disposition , we can ultimately change our position.

I'm leaving you with these quotes I found that have made me do some thinking the past couple of days. Hope they make you think deeper as it did me about our "attitudes".

I m Back !!!

I hope everone had a wonderful Christmas like we did ! Off for week at work during the Christmas ( with out pay ). Not much I can do about it but ,it just gives me a chance to think , to be with my angels , and to to see how much faith I have in the Lord Almighty. It has been awhile since I have posted anything ( shame on me !!) The plan for work this week is work three days off two .This gives me more time to think , to be with my angels, and to put more trust in the Lord. One of the coolest gifts I received was a FireProof T- shirts from Paul ,and Julie and I bought the Love Dare for each other . Then today at church our church bought each couple a Love Dare book to read so we have two books , it gives us a double challenge. And believe me since we have started three days ago satan has been bombing this marriage ! We have found Gods bunkers have doctored our wounds , and we are going to have a OPERATION GODLY FREEDOM !!!
And we have found the weapons of mass destruction . 11 years with Julie have been the greatest years of my life . And I want to make the next 11 even greater , and that is with a Christ driven marriage .

With Christ Love ,

praying for your wife...

the following is an excerpt from "The Power of a Praying Husband" by Stormie O'Martian (a book that Julie bought me about 7 yrs. ago and I am just now seriously reading, ouch.) :(

"I once saw a football game where the home team was losing and there were less than 15 seconds left in the game. They needed a touchdown to win, but everything was against them making a score in that amount of time. The game appeared to be over, and the opposing team and fans were already celebrating. Some people were even leaving the stadium. But the losing team and coach didn't give up or let their morale fall. Instead they pulled an unlikely play out of thier book, and through the most astonishing sequence of events, the home team made a winning touchdown in the last few seconds of the game. It was so amazing that news reports of it even referred to it as a miracle.

Your marriage is like that football game. You and your wife are a team. And she wants the security of knowing that when things are tough and down to the wire-even when the enemy is already celebrating your demise and all appears to be lost-you have the faith to believe that up to the very last second everything can turn around. She needs the assurance you have a play in your pocket that can take you down the field with the ball for a possible winning score. She wants you to trust that with God nothing is impossible and because of that you will never give up hoping for the impossible to happen.

When your wife knows you are praying, she is confident of all of these things. In my survey of wives, 85 percent of them said the most important prayer their husband could pray was that he would become the man, husband, and head of the home that God wanted him to be. This is the most important place for a man to begin praying."

*Men, I ask you, what's holding you back? Step up to the plate for your family.

*Shall we pray?

Heavenly Father,

I come to you today to repent of all that I have done against your will. I repent of the sorrow I have caused my wife by not praying for her and our children. I pray that you would show me the way to be the husband and father that you want me to be. Guide me in your ways, Lord.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Thankfulness

*If you own just one Bible, you are abundantly blessed. One -third of all the world does not have access to even one.

*If you woke this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.

*If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the lonliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.

*If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harrassment, arrest, torture, or death, you are more blessed than three billion people in the world.

*If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep , you are richer than 75 % of this world.

*If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace, you are among 8 % of the world's wealthy.

*If your parents are still married and alive, you are very rare, even in the United States.

*If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can but most do not.

*If you can hold someone's hand, hug them, or even touch them on the shoulder, you are blessed.

*If you prayed yesterday and today, you are blessed because you blieved in Go'd willingness to hear and answer prayer.

*If you believe in Jesus as the Son of God, you are part of a small minority in the world.

*If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two million people in the world who cannot read anything at all.

*found this in a box of things yesterday. Hope it blesses you as it did me, Happy Thanksgiving!

verses to ponder on this Thanksgiving week and always...

"Be anxious for nothing, but n everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God" (Phillippians 4:6)

"And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father."(Colossians 3:17)

"In everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

*Be back later;

Happy hunting & happy eating!
