Off for week at work during the Christmas ( with out pay ). Not much I can do about it but ,it just gives me a chance to think , to be with my angels , and to to see how much faith I have in the Lord Almighty. It has been awhile since I have posted anything ( shame on me !!) The plan for work this week is work three days off two .This gives me more time to think , to be with my angels, and to put more trust in the Lord. One of the coolest gifts I received was a FireProof T- shirts from Paul ,and Julie and I bought the Love Dare for each other . Then today at church our church bought each couple a Love Dare book to read so we have two books , it gives us a double challenge. And believe me since we have started three days ago satan has been bombing this marriage ! We have found Gods bunkers have doctored our wounds , and we are going to have a OPERATION GODLY FREEDOM !!!
And we have found the weapons of mass destruction . 11 years with Julie have been the greatest years of my life . And I want to make the next 11 even greater , and that is with a Christ driven marriage .

With Christ Love ,
CharlieCharliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15772339842292175717noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785012222971530652.post-9044278421429740382008-12-02T21:53:00.006-06:002008-12-02T22:24:59.024-06:00praying for your wife...the following is an excerpt from "The Power of a Praying Husband" by Stormie O'Martian (a book that Julie bought me about 7 yrs. ago and I am just now seriously reading, ouch.) :(

"I once saw a football game where the home team was losing and there were less than 15 seconds left in the game. And don’t worry about the clothes you need for your body. Life is more important than food. And the body is more important than clothes. 26Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or save food in barns. But your heavenly Father feeds those birds. And you know that you are worth much more than the birds. 27You cannot add any time to your life by worrying about it.

28“And why do you worry about clothes? Look at the flowers in the field. See how they grow. They don’t work or make clothes for themselves. 29But I tell you that even Solomon, the great and rich king, was not dressed as beautifully as one of these flowers. 30God clothes the grass in the field like that. That grass is living today, but tomorrow it is thrown into the fire to be burned. So you know that God will clothe you much more. Don’t have so little faith!

31Don’t worry and say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ 32All the people that don’t know God try to get these things. Don’t worry, because your Father in heaven knows that you need these things. 33The thing you should want most is God’s kingdom and doing the good things God wants you to do. Then all these other things you need will be given to you. 34So don’t worry about tomorrow. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Tomorrow will have its own worries.

*This passage puts to rest a lot of the thoughts I have been having this week. And that is a fight for your souls eternity .Not passing judgement on any one, fighting over nonsense ( majority of the time over a brothers law not Gods law).My point is we have a duty to fill , and that is to go out and teach all nations the gospel and baptizing them in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Ghost .Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you .Matt 28 :18-20 Because all power has been given unto Jesus Christ vs. 18 Not to Obama nor McCain. We must live our faith no matter what . Even if its just for our families .Look at what Titus 2 vs 1 teach with sound doctrine ,it mean you live out your faith in a godly conduct no matter who you are or how old you are male or female. But here at these home things are NOT GOING TO CHANGE ! So many things todays generations have failed to follow or to ignore or just hasn't been taught .A few years ago ther was an ad on tv about a child who was on drugs dad finds out , dad asked him where did you learn to do this? The son said by watching you dad! This chapter is about example . The older ones are the mold the younger ones are the jello. We need to make sure our words and are actions are grounded in the Truth , and it sets up in their minds firm!

More in depth thoughts to follow this weekend.....Charliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15772339842292175717noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785012222971530652.post-65137544353266141572008-10-27T09:31:00.000-05:002008-10-27T09:42:02.632-05:00HusbandsFound this article in some old papers of Julie's grandpa, Lloyd Treat. He has some great stuff there. Read this and let me know what you think. Anyway, some good stuff on marriage right here.

Ephesians 5v25-33: Husbands love your wives even as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for it; that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word. That He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church. For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and his mother and the two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery; but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Netherless, let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Here we see that marriage is a picture of Christ and the church. Husbands have the responsibility to love their wives even as Christ loved the church. Christ's love was self sacrificing, so likewise a husband should sacrifice self giving preference to his wife, caring and nourishing her. If a husband loves his wife as much as Christ loved the church then surely the wife will find it easier to submit herself to her husband. Paul concludes the passage by exalting men to love their wives as themselves.

1 Corinthians 7v3-5: Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

Husbands here are commanded not to deny their bodies from their wives. Unless it is for an agreed pre-determined period of time to give themselves more fully unto the Lord. Paul warns that the time must be agreed before hand lest Satan should tempt them.

1 Corinthians 7v11b-12: .. let not the husband put away his wife. But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not. 1 Corinthians 7v14-16: For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us unto peace. For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man whether thou shalt save thy wife?

Husbands are exalted here not to put away their wives. Even if he is a believer but she is not, he should not seek a divorce, but if she desires to leave then he should let her leave peacefully. The believing husband should continue to live with the non-believing wife for two reasons. First, by having a believing husband she is sanctified. Note not saved but seperated out from the world and married unto a believer. Secondly, he does not know if what she sees of the Lord in him may yet turn her to Christ.

Colossions 3v19: Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

Husbands are here reminded to love their wives and not to be bitter against them for any reason.

1 Peter 3v7: Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

Marriage is a partnership, husbands and wives have different roles to fulfil but both should be seen on an equal level and as fellow heirs of grace. Husbands are here reminded that failing to give honour to their wives, i.e. failing to fulfil their role in the partnership, will cause their prayers to be hindered.
